Assistant Management Accountant

Overview

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing business based in Warwick, who are looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant to support their finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a broad and involved role, offering real responsibility and a clear pathway into a Management Accountant position.

Working closely with senior finance, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts for a key European entity, ensuring accuracy and completeness across P&L and balance sheet reporting. You will play a key role in structuring and analysing financial data, producing detailed schedules and commentary, and supporting the wider month-end process through journals, reconciliations and control procedures.

Alongside this, you will be involved in a range of technical and operational finance activities, including multi-currency bank reconciliations, VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions, and monitoring stock movements between entities. You will also support payroll processing, contribute to process improvements, and provide guidance to non-finance teams, while overseeing two junior members of staff.

Skills Needed

• Experience within a finance role with strong exposure to month-end and management accounts
• Confident handling journals, reconciliations and working with multi-entity or multi-currency data
• Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation, lookups and pivot tables
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support stakeholders and junior team members
