A successful and consistently growing business is seeking a reliable and ambitious Accounts Assistant to join their expanding finance team. As part of a collaborative and driven finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the production of accurate and timely financial information. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accruals and prepayments schedules, maintaining control accounts, and completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations. You will support P&L analysis, assist in maintaining the cash flow forecast, and carry out regular bank reconciliations. The role will also involve producing monthly management information, completing funding packs for Contract Hire funding, and taking ownership of key sales and purchase ledger accounts. In addition, you will play a key role in the year-end audit process, gaining valuable exposure to statutory reporting and audit preparation. This position offers excellent progression and development as the business continues to grow.
Ideally, you will have:
- Strong experience within a finance function, including month-end processes and reconciliations, Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA status and actively studying or someone who is looking to start their studies.
- Experience managing control accounts, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- A proactive, motivated, and results-driven approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
