Assistant Management Accountant

Overview

Due to UK expansion and the acquisition of new businesses, Mitchell Adam is excited to be recruiting for our Manufacturing and Distribution client based on the outskirts of the city, in the industrial heart. This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to step into a business experiencing rapid YoY growth, with a supportive and fun culture. This is an appropriate opportunity for a studying accountant, looking to push their career in the direction of a management accountant as they continue pushing through qualifications.

The day to day in this role will allow the successful candidate to flourish in a fast-paced environment. You will be assisting the Management Accountant with the production of the month end accounts pack, from journals and reconciliations through to assisting with forecasts. You will then gain excellent exposure working non-financial budget holders to assist with financial planning, and contextualising the numbers, partnering to produce accurate variances.

Skills Needed

• You must be an actively studying accountant, part qualified in CIMA or ACCA with a view to qualify.
• Have had prior exposure to producing journals and balance sheet reconciliations and feel comfortable doing these unassisted.
• Be a confident communicator – enjoy talking to stakeholders and presenting data to them!
• Be Excel savvy, able to use IF statements, lookups and pivot tables to extrapolate data.
