Assistant Financial Accountant

Mitchell Adam are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Accountant (Part Qualified) to join our client’s finance team initially on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their skills and progress their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.

A successful candidate will assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and organisational policies. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in month-end and year-end processes, budgeting, and financial reporting.

The key responsibilities will include; assist in the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements, supporting the month-end and year-end closing activities, reconciling balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies as well as preparing/maintaining financial records and liaising with internal teams and external auditors as required.

Ideally, you will:

• Be a part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent with a strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and standards

• Showcase proficient in Excel and accounting software with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Have strong organisational and communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
