Mitchell Adam are excited to announce their continued collaboration with an established UK Retail Giant in Birmingham. This organisation has been a staple of UK high-streets for decades and has recently gone through a continued period of expansion. As a result of successive growth, this business has decided to expand its finance function by bringing on a talented and experienced Assistant Finance Business Partner. The role has some terrific progression opportunities and will see you working closely with a qualified Finance Manager who will be tasked with assisting with your transition into this organisation and helping ensure you are engaged and enjoy your time in this role. They offer a flexible hybrid working programme and their free on-site parking and close transport links ensure their offices are easily accessible.

The organisation is a powerhouse of UK Retail, and have continued to be an important player in their sector. As an Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will be covering a variety of tasks, ensuring your time in this role is engaging and rewarding. You will be included in the production of management accounts but you will also be a crucial component of the budgeting and forecasting process, where you will be liaising with a multitude of budget holders and stakeholders. Your insight and commentary will be valued when providing insight on the financial health of various departments. Your reporting abilities will also be honed when producing comprehensive reports for senior management.

Skills Required

  • To either be currently studying or to already have a number of examinations completed in either ACCA or CIMA.
  • To be confident and charismatic, as in this role you will be engaged with budgetary and senior financial meetings. Your thoughts will be requested and your insight heard.
  • To have experience producing monthly management accounts and to have a strong experience with analysis such as variance analysis.
  • To be ambitious and driven. There are options and avenues to progress in this role for an individual who has the right work ethic and potential.
