Overview

An exciting Assistant Accountant opportunity has become available within a large manufacturing business south of Dudley. This role here will be reporting into the Financial Accountant and will be supporting the Group Credit Manager with a range of sales ledger tasks, these will include; Raising invoices, chasing payments, reconciling the bank, allocating payments, managing supplier relationships to ensure ease of payment and a few other tasks. This role is very exciting as the successful person will have exposure to a few senior responsibilities such as month end and journal postings. This is a permanent role however we are recruiting this as a temporary to permanent position so please only apply if you are immediately available or on a short notice!

The ideal person will live local to the business as this role is in the office full time, however they do offer an early finish on Friday’s which is very nice! Preferably we are looking for someone who has roughly 12-18 months experience who is looking to take on a new challenge that they can settle into for the next few years. This role is also very front facing, being hat you will be interacting with suppliers as well as internal departments so we are if possible the successful person will be a strong, confident communicator.

Skills required

  • Have previous experience working with finance, ideally within the sales ledger side of things.
  • Have strong customer service experience, this is an important skill set as this is an interactive role where you will be liaising with a range of people on a daily basis.
  • Be STRONG on excel, this position requires a lot of reports and management of data within excel.
  • Be immediately available or on a short notice period.

  • This business offer a salary review point at the end of the temporary assignment where they are happy to increase the salary by a few K if you pass probation.
