Assistant Accountant

With a portfolio of sites across the business, the organisation offers an interesting and varied finance environment, where the finance team works closely with operational managers to support performance and decision-making.

They are now looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is a broad opportunity for someone looking to develop their management accounting experience, with involvement across month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting. Working alongside the wider finance team, you’ll also gain exposure to operational performance, helping analyse financial information and produce reports that support the business across its different sites.

Skills Needed

• Previous experience within an Assistant Accountant or similar finance position, with exposure to month-end and management accounting processes.

• Good understanding of journals, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations and reviewing income and expenditure.

• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to work with large datasets, analyse financial information and produce accurate reports.

• Good communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues across different departments. Experience within hospitality or a multi-site environment would be beneficial.
