Assistant Accountant

Overview

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a well-established international manufacturing business, who are looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is a good opportunity for someone who has developed a solid grounding across transactional finance and is now looking to broaden their experience, gaining greater exposure to management accounts and the wider commercial side of finance.

Working as part of an established team, you’ll become involved in the preparation of monthly management accounts and the wider month-end process, providing a useful step towards developing your management accounting experience. Alongside this, you’ll have responsibility across both purchase and sales ledger, giving you ownership of key areas including invoice processing, payment runs, customer accounts and credit control.

The business operates across international markets, creating a varied environment where there is plenty to learn and exposure to different areas of finance. With a supportive team around you and professional development encouraged, this role would suit someone who is studying towards ACCA or CIMA and wants to gradually build their accounting experience within a well-established manufacturing organisation.

Skills Needed

• Previous experience across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable within a finance environment.
• Good understanding of core accounting principles and transactional finance processes.
• Some exposure to month-end or management accounts is a must.
• Strong attention to detail with an organised and reliable approach.
• Currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA would be desirable.
