Mitchell Adam are pleased to be partnering with a well-established and steadily growing logistics business, who are looking to welcome a dependable and detail-focused Assistant Accountant into their friendly finance team. This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys routine, accuracy, and gradual development, and who is looking for a supportive environment where they can build their skills at a comfortable pace.

Working closely with a patient and experienced Finance Manager, you’ll support the month-end process by preparing accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations, while gradually taking on more responsibility as your confidence grows. You’ll also have steady exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with clear guidance and no pressure to rush. As the business continues its measured growth, you’ll be encouraged to contribute small improvements and take ownership in your own time.

Skills Needed

• Experience preparing accruals, prepayments and reconciliations within a structured environment.

• Actively studying (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) and keen to progress steadily.

• Confident with Excel and comfortable handling data accurately.

• A clear communicator who builds relationships naturally and appreciates a calm, organised workplace.
