Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing logistics business, who are looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to support their expanding finance function. This is a brilliant opportunity for an accountant at the start of their studying journey, who enjoys getting stuck into the detail while also gaining exposure to the commercial side of a dynamic, people-focused business.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in producing accurate and timely management accounts. From accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations through to supporting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, you’ll be involved in the month-end process. As the business continues to grow, you’ll also have the chance to streamline processes and make a real impact across the finance function.

Skills Needed

  • Previous experience preparing accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
  • Actively studying (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) with a keen eye for accuracy and improvement.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence handling multiple data sources.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across finance and operations.
