Mitchell Adam are excited to announce their new collaboration with an up and coming organisation in the hospitality sector. This organisation has expanded consistently in recent years and have established themselves as one of the more exciting organisations in their sector. They have recently expanded their finance team and are hoping to bring on a talented Assistant Accountant into the mix. The role will consist of being involved with month end duties such as posting journals and completing reconciliation’s, in this role as you progress you be able to take on further responsibilities and progress up into the Management Accountant position if signs of positive progression are showcased. Their offices are based in Birmingham and are easily accessible via train, bus and car due to their free on-site parking.

This organisation has been a staple of its region for many years now, they are a cherished part of the local community. They have been growing their client base and consistently delivering a successful product to their patrons. This organisation is hoping to continue this trend by looking for new ways to deliver the best quality service and value for its customers. One way they have been looking to achieve this is to continue the development of their finance team, and to make sure their processes and accounting function is as efficient and effective as possible. The role will see you posting journals such as accruals and prepayments and completing reconciliation’s on both balance sheets and the bank. There are some fantastic avenues for progression here and the organisation are willing to help train up candidates on duties that they need assistance with. They are looking for someone who has prior experience in posting journals and completing reconciliation’s, as this is a key part of the position. The role comes with the option to work in a hybrid working style, alongside the opportunity for study support for those aspiring chartered accountants.

Skills Required

  • To have exposure to completing balance sheet reconciliations and posting journals such as accruals and prepayments.
  • To be confident and outgoing, this is a role where you will be interacting with your colleagues and senior management, it is key to be able to communicate effectively.
  • To be either currently studying your ACCA or CIMA, or to have aspirations to start studying one of these courses.
  • To have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. There are some real opportunities available for a talented individual to take on some new senior responsibilities.
