Mitchell Adam are currently partnered with a unique and exciting leisure business operating in south Birmingham. The business operates in a sporting niche and has incredible plans over the next year to develop the finance team and surrounding business. The successful applicant will be joining a close knit and knowledgeable function, assisting a Management Accountant and taking mentorship from a qualified Financial Controller.

The day to day in this role will suit a studier looking to take on more knowledge surrounding month and year end accounts with a great transactional skill set. You will be working alongside the Management Accountant to assist with Accruals, Prepayments and Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Along side these duties, you will be managing both the sales and purchase ledger, the banking and payroll.

Skills Needed

  • Experience assisting in the preparation of Payroll, desirably on Sage.
  • Have had a small amount of prior exposure on accruals and prepayment journals.
  • Be able to manage the sales and purchase ledger transactionally without guidance.
  • Bonus if you have a keen interest in sports and their sector.
