We are currently recruiting for an excellent opportunity for an immediately available Accounts Payable Clerk to join a market-leading organisation based in Birmingham City Centre. This well-established and multifaceted business continues to experience consistent year-on-year growth, driven by a diverse portfolio of innovative projects and a strong national presence.

The organisation is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk who can quickly integrate into the team and contribute effectively from day one. Key responsibilities will include managing payment runs, performing supplier statement reconciliations, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, and resolving complex queries. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in fast-paced environments and be confident engaging with senior stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part within the finance function, working closely with senior finance colleagues to identify and implement process improvements.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk, ideally within fast-paced environments, with confidence in liaising with key suppliers.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of purchase ledger processes, including handling high-value payment runs and allocating large transaction volumes.
  • Be a confident and proactive communicator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business, both within and outside of finance.
  • Exhibit a flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage core responsibilities while supporting ad hoc tasks across the wider accounts function.
