Accounts Payable

A forward-thinking and highly regarded professional services business is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to join its collaborative finance team. Working closely with experienced members of the finance team, you will take ownership of a broad range of accounts payable responsibilities while developing your technical knowledge and professional skills. Responsibilities will include processing high volumes of supplier invoices, managing the end-to-end purchase ledger, matching invoices to purchase orders, preparing and processing payment runs, reconciling supplier statements, resolving invoice and payment queries, maintaining accurate supplier records, monitoring outstanding invoices, assisting with month-end processes and supporting the wider finance team with various projects. This role offers excellent exposure within a fast-paced professional services environment, providing the perfect opportunity for someone with existing accounts payable experience to further develop their career.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience within an accounts payable or purchase ledger role.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately process and reconcile financial information.
• A confident, professional and personable approach with excellent communication skills in order to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
