A well established and highly regarded business based in the city centre is currently seeking a proactive and detail driven individual to join their finance function as an Accounts Payable Assistant. The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will support the full end to end accounts payable process, handling a high volume of invoices within a structured and collaborative finance environment. Working as part of a wider finance team, you will liaise closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure invoices are processed accurately and efficiently, and queries are resolved in a timely manner. Responsibilities will include invoice processing, preparing and executing payment runs, reconciling supplier statements, supporting month end close, assisting with purchase order management, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ability to work methodically, communicate effectively, and maintain strong attention to detail is essential.

Ideally, you will:

• Have previous experience in an accounts payable role, managing high volumes of invoices within a busy finance function.
• Be highly organised and detail focused, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills, confidently working with suppliers and internal teams.
