Overview

An exciting 12 month contract role with potential to go permanent has become available within a growing business we are working with. This position will be reporting into the Finance Manager, it is an Accounts Assistant role with a focus on reconciliations. The ideal person for this role will be someone who has had experience with bank reconciliations, this will need to be high volume amounts of transactions on bank statements as well as query resolution and cash allocation experience.

This role is a maternity cover, which is why it is a contract to begin with, however as mentioned this business is going through massive amounts of growth, due to a recent acquisition they’ve gone through, and as a result they have said there is a strong chance this role will convert into a permanent role. The right person will need to be either immediately available or on a short notice period. They will also need to be a bit of a problem solver, this role will be working through large amounts of reconciliations, staying on top of projects and ensuring things are allocated accurately and efficiently so someone who is a problem solver at heart will be perfect for this.

Skills required

  • Must have previous experience working with reconciliations, particularly bank reconciliations.
  • Have previous experience with allocating payments, beneficial if you have experience with cash, card, cheque and BACS.
  • Be immediately available or on a short notice period, this role is looking to begin as soon as possible!
  • Be a strong communicator and someone with strong attention to detail to ensure these reconciliations are completed accurately and efficiently.
