A successful and consistently growing manufacturing company is seeking a reliable and efficient Accounts Assistant to join their expanding finance team. As part of a supportive and collaborative finance team, you will be responsible for posting invoices, matching and reconciling transactions, and maintaining both purchase and sales ledgers. You will manage data entry with a high level of accuracy, support credit control activities including chasing overdue payments, and assist with the accounts email inbox and incoming phone queries. The role will also involve posting cash, processing purchase invoices, taking dispatch payments, and supporting payroll – with Sage Payroll experience being essential. Over time, you will gain exposure to month-end preparation, weekly payroll processing, and handling customer and supplier account queries confidently and independently.
Ideally, you will have:
- Strong experience using an ERP system, with Sage Payroll experience essential
- Excellent telephone manner and confidence dealing with customers and suppliers
- Experience covering Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and general transnational finance processes including payroll
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and support a busy accounts team
