Accounts Assistant

A growing and forward-thinking company is looking to welcome a new Accounts Assistant who is open to training, gaining experience, and advancing their career. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and stable business where you will have exposure to both purchase ledger (PL) and sales ledger (SL), while also supporting credit control and providing administration support to the team. You will report to management and be part of a lovely team who have regular socials every month and have been together for a long time. Parking is available on site.

The successful Accounts Assistant will take ownership of the full transactional finance function, covering both PL and SL. Responsibilities will include processing invoices, completing payment runs, reconciling accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting credit control. You will also assist with administrative tasks and producing reports for management, requiring a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently under guidance. Strong communication skills will be important when liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Ideally you will:

• Be open to training and gaining hands-on experience in both PL and SL, credit control, and administration support.

• Be comfortable supporting the finance team and management, gradually taking on more responsibility as you develop.

• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Possess strong communication skills to confidently liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
