The role will involve supporting the finance team across key accounting duties, with a strong focus on legal accounts. Responsibilities will include managing Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger processes, processing and posting invoices, handling client and office account transactions, preparing and processing BACS payments, and ensuring compliance with legal accounting requirements. You will assist with reconciliations, allocation of receipts and payments, resolving queries, and supporting month-end processes. Working closely with the wider finance team, this role offers valuable exposure to legal accounting procedures and the opportunity to further develop your technical skills within a professional and collaborative environment.
Ideally, you will:
- Have experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role, with exposure to Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and BACS processing.
- Have experience within the legal sector or professional services, although candidates from other sectors with relevant experience will be considered.
- Be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Be a reliable and approachable team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
