My client is a small charity and they have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join their team for a 12 month maternity cover.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will have a massively varied position and will be mainly responsible for the finances of the charity, with frequent liaison with the external Accountant and payroll providers, but also have some interesting ad-hoc responsibilities including updating the website, taking minutes and providing support to the Executive Chair. We are ideally looking for someone with a finance background who is immediately available for this mainly remote role, but who is also flexible and willing to turn their hand to various non-finance tasks.
Skills required:
- Have experience of looking after the accounts for a small business, with experience liaising with external Accountants and payroll providers
- Be flexible and willing to offer help and support in non-finance related tasks
- Be a self-starter, with the ability to work as both part of a team and alone
- Have excellent knowledge of finance systems, ideally Quickbooks
