Management Accountant

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a well-established international wholesale business based in Birmingham. Operating across UK and overseas markets, the business has built a strong presence within its sector and is continuing to explore opportunities to diversify its product offering and expand into new areas.

They are now looking to appoint a Management Accountant, offering an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to step up into a broader role and take the next stage of their career. You may already have experience as an Assistant Management Accountant or be working in a similar hands-on finance position, with a good understanding of month-end and management accounts. Working closely with senior finance leadership, you’ll have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility for financial reporting, develop your analytical skills and build your experience across the wider business.

Skills Needed

• Experience preparing monthly management accounts, including month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and investigating variances to understand business performance.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements, with a proactive approach to improving reporting and finance processes.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills, alongside the ability to communicate financial information clearly and work with stakeholders outside of finance.
