Accounts Payable Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Purchase Ledger Manager to join a successful organisation and take ownership of a busy, high-volume Purchase Ledger function across a group of companies.

You’ll play a key role in leading, motivating and developing the Purchase Ledger Team, while overseeing the full Accounts Payable process to ensure invoices, payments and supplier accounts are managed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines. You’ll manage a varied workload across multiple companies, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries, obtain approvals and ensure payment runs are completed on time.

Alongside the day-to-day management of the function, you’ll have the opportunity to drive continuous improvement, identify ways to streamline processes and support automation and finance transformation projects. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll have genuine ownership of the Purchase Ledger function and the opportunity to make a significant impact across the wider finance team.

Skills Required

• Proven experience within Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable, ideally within a high-volume, multi-company environment.
• Strong knowledge of invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, payment runs and resolving supplier queries.
• A proactive approach to process improvement, automation and finance transformation.
• Previous experience managing, mentoring or developing a finance team.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively to tight deadlines.
