Assistant Accountant

As the business continues to develop, they are investing in their finance function and building a brand-new finance team, with the Assistant Accountant position being one of several new roles joining the function.

This is an exciting time to join the business, with the opportunity to become part of a newly formed team and help establish the finance function as it develops. The Assistant Accountant role will provide broad exposure across bookkeeping, reconciliations, journals and financial reporting, while working alongside experienced finance professionals and developing specialist knowledge of the sector.

Skills Needed

• Previous experience across core accounting processes, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, journals and financial reporting.

• A consistent career history, demonstrating stability, longevity and commitment within previous positions.

• Good confidence using accounting systems and finance software; Xero experience highly advantageous but is not essential.

• Strong attention to detail and organisation, with the ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines.
