An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Credit Controller to join a successful and well-established organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong Credit Control background who enjoys taking ownership of a ledger and playing a key role in improving cash collection.
You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, proactively chasing outstanding debt, allocating payments, resolving queries and maintaining accurate account records. You’ll regularly review aged debt, prioritise accounts and work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve disputes and ensure payments are received on time. This is a busy and varied role where your experience will be valued. You’ll join a supportive finance team and have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the performance of the wider finance function.
Skills Required
- Proven experience within Credit Control or Accounts Receivable, with confidence managing your own customer ledger.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently chase outstanding payments and handle challenging conversations.
- Experience managing aged debt and taking a proactive approach to reducing overdue balances.
- Strong attention to detail when investigating discrepancies, allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts.
- Ability to work closely with internal teams to resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently.
- Good Excel and IT skills, with experience using finance or accounting systems.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a genuine desire to achieve collection targets and improve processes.
