Management Accountant

Overview

Due to a period of growth and expansion, our client, a distinguished, market leading multi-site business based on the outskirts of Wolverhampton is looking to bring an experienced Management Accountant into their progressive, yet tight knit accounts function to act as the spearhead underneath the qualified Financial Controller. The successful candidate will ideally be at finalist level ACCA/CIMA or newly qualified, and will be able to further their exposure, challenging and setting up processes, and working with a variety of non-financial internally stakeholders to produce an accurate month end pack, alongside managing a small team of emerging talent.

Day to day you will be hands on with a host of tasks to allow you to provide accurate financial information weekly and monthly to the head of departments for contracts, projects and the board. You will be preparing the budgets and forecasts, compiling the monthly management accounts, P&L and Balance Sheets, and following up with variance and commentary to create financial visibility throughout the business. The successful candidate will also be challenging the status quo, and have an impact on developing the reporting and systems as the business continues to grow.

Skills required

• You will be a finalist or newly qualified and looking to continue your progression in a fast-paced business.
• Ideally have experience in a PE backed business, or a complex, multi-site organisation (although desired this is not essential).
• Having previous experience leading a small team would be advantageous.
• Have a high level of excel, able to easily use Sum If statements, and commercial acumen.
