Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a growing multi-site organisation based in Wolverhampton, who are looking to appoint a finalist or newly qualified Management Accountant to join their expanding finance team. Following a sustained period of growth, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business where finance plays a central role in supporting operational performance, with genuine scope to influence reporting, improve processes and develop into a senior position.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of the monthly management accounts for a portfolio of sites, producing accurate reporting supported by meaningful P&L analysis and variance commentary. As well as ensuring month-end runs smoothly, you’ll work closely with operational managers to help them understand performance, providing clear financial insight that supports better commercial and operational decision-making across the business.

This is a broad role that offers far more than routine reporting. You’ll have the opportunity to supervise a small finance team, contribute to projects focused on improving systems and controls, and play an active role in developing the finance function as the business continues to grow. For someone looking to combine strong technical accounting with increasing stakeholder exposure and leadership responsibility, this represents an excellent long-term opportunity.

Skills Needed

  • Experience producing or supporting monthly management accounts with strong P&L and balance sheet exposure.
  • Finalist or newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) looking to continue developing within a commercial environment.
  • Strong Excel skills with confidence analysing financial data and producing insightful reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across finance and operational teams.
  • A proactive approach with an interest in improving processes, strengthening controls and supporting junior colleagues.
