Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded legal services firm based in Birmingham City Centre to recruit an FP&A Analyst into their expanding finance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who is looking to move beyond producing numbers and become involved in the commercial conversations behind them. Rather than focusing purely on reporting, this role will see you become a key partner to senior stakeholders across the firm. You’ll support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning, while analysing performance across departments and translating complex financial information into meaningful insight. Regular exposure to senior leadership will allow you to present findings, influence decision-making and play an active role in shaping future business performance.
Alongside the FP&A responsibilities, you’ll strengthen your analytical skillset through detailed financial modelling, trend analysis and KPI reporting, continuously looking for opportunities to improve reporting, challenge assumptions and enhance commercial understanding across the business. Skills Needed
- Previous experience within FP&A, Finance Analysis or Management Accounting with exposure to budgeting or forecasting.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills, with confidence interpreting large volumes of financial data.
- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA with ambitions to progress within commercial finance.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to present financial information to senior non-finance stakeholders.
- A naturally inquisitive mindset, with the ability to identify trends, challenge performance and provide commercial insight.
