Finance Manager

I’m delighted to be supporting a growing group business in Birmingham with the recruitment of a Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to step into a broad role with real ownership and influence.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be a key member of the leadership team, overseeing day-to-day finance operations while driving improvements across controls, reporting and commercial support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of the balance sheet and management accounts across multiple entities

• Integrating acquired companies into finance processes and reporting structures

• Sign-off responsibility for VAT returns, bank reconciliations, payroll and inter-company reconciliations

• Ownership of the budgets, Day 1 forecasts, cashflow, treasury and banking arrangements

• FX management and scheduled tax payments, acting as liaison with HMRC

• Stock reporting and interaction with commercial teams to support trading decisions

• Oversight of property matters including lease and utility contract renewals

• Maintaining a strong controls environment and driving process improvements

• Developing and managing the finance team, ensuring continuous growth and performance

About You:

• A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post-qualified experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role

• Strong technical skills across management accounts, controls, tax and treasury

• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, multi-entity environment with acquisitions and integrations

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to business partner across commercial and operational teams

• Proven experience managing and developing a team
