Senior Service Charge Accountant

Mitchell Adam are pleased to be partnering with a well-established organisation within the property sector to recruit an experienced Senior Service Charge Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance function in a role that offers a combination of technical accounting, service charge management and team leadership.

Reporting to a senior finance leader, you will play a key role in overseeing the preparation of management accounts while taking responsibility for service charge budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. Alongside your accounting responsibilities, you will provide day-to-day support and guidance to a small team, helping to maintain high standards of financial accuracy and ensuring key reporting deadlines are consistently achieved. This role would suit an experienced Service Charge Accountant looking to take on greater responsibility while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day finance function.

Skills Needed

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE).

• Previous experience preparing management accounts and delivering accurate month-end financial reporting.

• Strong knowledge of service charge accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.

• Experience leading, mentoring or supervising junior finance staff within a property or housing environment.
