As a Credit Controller, you will play a vital role within the finance team, supporting the effective management of customer accounts and helping to maintain strong cash flow across a diverse customer portfolio. Working closely with customers, account managers, and colleagues across the wider business, you will be responsible for building strong relationships, resolving account queries, and ensuring outstanding balances are collected in a timely and professional manner.

This position is ideally suited to a proactive, organised, and customer-focused individual looking to further develop their finance career. Responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of customer accounts, proactively chasing outstanding payments via telephone and email, investigating and resolving invoice and account queries, reconciling customer accounts, allocating cash receipts, producing aged debt reports, monitoring credit limits, and supporting month-end finance processes.

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience within a Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or Finance role is essential.
  • Strong understanding of credit control procedures, debt collection, account reconciliation, and cash allocation processes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage professionally with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
