Bookkeeper

An exciting and growing company is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join its finance team in a varied, hands-on role. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping function while supporting wider finance operations and month-end activities.

The role will suit someone with strong bookkeeping experience who is confident managing transactional finance and enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, processing sales and purchase invoices, managing supplier payments, performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations, reconciling customer and supplier accounts, overseeing cashbook transactions, supporting VAT returns, assisting with month-end procedures including accruals and prepayments, maintaining the fixed asset register, carrying out credit control activities, monitoring cash flow, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve finance queries.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience managing sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end processes
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Confident communication skills and a proactive, reliable approach
