Overview
Mitchell Adam are pleased to be working with a rapidly expanding clean energy business who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to support a key operational entity within the business. With continued investment, increasing operational complexity and ongoing growth globally across multiple entities, this role offers a rare opportunity for a finalist or newly qualified accountant to gain exposure across manufacturing finance, commercial performance and operational decision-making within a highly visible environment.
Working closely with senior finance and operational leadership, you will take ownership of monthly management reporting while developing a detailed understanding of the operational drivers behind performance. This role offers strong exposure to BOMs, production accounting, costing and margin analysis, giving you the opportunity to work directly with the numbers that influence commercial decisions across the business. You will play a key role in analysing manufacturing performance, understanding cost movements and helping operational teams interpret the financial impact of activity across production.
Alongside core reporting responsibilities, you will drive analysis around operational KPIs including stock movements, scrappage, yield loss and production efficiency, helping to improve visibility and decision-making across the business. As the company continues to grow, you will also have the opportunity to contribute towards improving reporting, developing processes and strengthening the quality of financial insight available to senior stakeholders. This is a role designed to develop someone beyond routine month-end into a commercially aware and operationally focused finance professional.
Skills Needed
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of P&L Accounting, producing commentary over detailed analysis.
- Experience producing management accounts, variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse operational and financial performance clearly.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach, with the ambition to develop within a growing business.
