Accounts Assistant

An exciting and growing company is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join its finance team in a varied, hands-on role. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will gain valuable exposure and take ownership of key transactional processes while also supporting month-end activities.

The role will suit someone confident across sales ledger, purchase ledger, and transactional finance, who is looking to further develop their experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will include managing the sales and purchase ledgers, processing invoices and supplier payments, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes such as reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, assisting with reporting, and carrying out credit control while liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries.

Ideally, you will have:

• Strong experience across sales ledger, purchase ledger, and transactional finance with exposure to month-end processes
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Confident communication skills and a proactive, reliable approach
• AAT qualified or studying (desirable)
