An established and consistently growing organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their expanding finance team. As part of a small, collaborative transactional finance team, you will take full ownership of the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintaining healthy cash flow across the business. You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, proactively chasing overdue payments via phone and email, resolving queries efficiently, and reducing aged debt. You will regularly review aged debt reports, allocate incoming payments, reconcile accounts, and escalate issues where necessary. The role will also involve working closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and support continuous improvement within the finance function. This position offers the opportunity to take real ownership, develop your skills, and grow within a supportive and developing finance environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within Credit Control or Accounts Receivable, with a proven ability to manage and reduce aged debt
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence in handling queries and difficult conversations
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume ledger and prioritise effective
  • A proactive, team-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
