Assistant Management Accountant

A well-established and reputable manufacturing company is seeking a detail-focused Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team in a varied, hands-on role. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the production of management accounts and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of core finance processes.

The role will suit someone capable across transactional finance and bookkeeping, with strong exposure to month-end processes and management accounts. Responsibilities will include overseeing the sales and purchase ledgers, processing invoices and supplier payments, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end duties including reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, assisting with management accounts preparation, and financial reports. Communication skill will be essential when liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve queries.

Ideally, you will have:

• Strong experience across sales ledger, purchase ledger, and general bookkeeping
• Experience with month-end processes and management accounts in fast pace environment
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, dependable approach
