Service Charge Accountant

Overview

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Senior Service Charge Accountant into their finance team based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with service charge experience to take on a role offering responsibility within a structured and high-volume environment.

In this position, you will play a key role in the preparation and reconciliation of service charge accounts, ensuring income and expenditure are accurately recorded and aligned. You will take ownership of investigating variances, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting the wider team in delivering accurate and timely reporting.

Working closely with both internal departments and external stakeholders, you will act as a key point of contact for service charge queries, helping to ensure transparency and accuracy across all reporting. Alongside this, you will contribute to ongoing process improvements, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and strengthen controls.

Skills Needed

• Experience working within a service charge or property finance environment.
• Strong reconciliation experience with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume data accurately.
• Confident communicator, able to liaise with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
