This is a pivotal hire for the organisation at an exciting stage of its growth journey. The role will take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust financial control, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

Reporting directly into the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, improving processes, and embedding best practice across the finance function and wider organisation.

This is a highly operational role, suited to someone who enjoys being close to the detail while also contributing at a strategic level.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Full ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintaining and improving balance sheet integrity, including detailed reconciliations and controls
  • Leading, developing, and mentoring a small finance team
  • Partnering with operational teams to provide meaningful financial insight and challenge
  • Driving improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles
  • Managing cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives
  • Acting as a key point of contact for auditors and external stakeholders

About you:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Experience working closely with operations and non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong systems and process improvement experience
  • Confident communicator, able to influence and challenge at all levels

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to make a tangible impact within a growing business.

The role offers a salary in the region of £70,000 – £80,000, alongside a broader benefits package.

If you’re open to exploring a new opportunity, or know someone who could be a strong fit, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
