Mitchell Adam are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a well-established and histrorical educational organisation who are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to oversee their day-to-day finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to step into a broad role with real ownership, within a stable and supportive environment.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will take responsibility for the smooth running of core finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support decision-making. This will include managing ledgers and reconciliations, overseeing VAT processes, and producing clear and structured month-end reporting that provides meaningful insight.
Alongside this, you will play a key role in budgeting and financial planning cycles, maintaining strong financial controls, and acting as a trusted point of contact for finance across the organisation. This is a varied position offering a strong balance of technical delivery and stakeholder interaction.
Skills Needed
- Experience within a well-rounded finance role with exposure to reporting and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of VAT processes, including preparation and submission of returns.
- Confident producing accurate financial information and supporting month-end processes.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
