Assistant Accountant

A successful and consistently growing business is seeking a reliable and ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their expanding finance team. As part of a collaborative and driven finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the production of accurate and timely financial information. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accruals and prepayments schedules, maintaining control accounts, and completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations. You take full ownership of Management Accounts, including P&L analysis, assist in maintaining the cash flow forecast, and carry out regular bank reconciliations. The role will also involve producing monthly management information, completing funding packs for Contract Hire funding, and taking ownership of key sales and purchase ledger accounts. In addition, you will play a key role in the year-end audit process, gaining valuable exposure to statutory reporting and audit preparation. Ideally, you will have:

• Strong experience within a finance function, including Management Accounts, month-end processes, and reconciliations.

• Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA status and actively studying, or someone looking to start their studies

• A proactive, motivated, and results-driven approach always looking to improve and streamline process, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
