My client is a Smethwick-based manufacturing business and they currently have a vacancy within their accounts team for an experienced Bookkeeper to provide support to their Finance Manager on initially a temporary basis.

You will be working within a small finance team, and preparing a complex payroll for around 100 employees weekly, as well as providing support to the Finance Manager to prepare for month end. You will also be responsible for transactional finance duties such as purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control. This is an excellent opportunity for a local candidate to join a fun and friendly team with the potential for the role to become permanent.

Skills required:

  • Have at least 12 months experience within an all-round accounts role inclusive of payroll
  • Be immediately available for a start
  • Have a strong level of Excel and ideally have experience of using Sage
  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to forge strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
