Accounts Manager

Mitchell Adam are thrilled to be partnering with a fast-growing SME services business in the city centre that’s looking for a dynamic, hands-on Accounts Manager to become the heart of the operation. This is sleeves rolled up, in the detail, learning exactly how the business operates from the inside. If you thrive on variety, ownership and being genuinely involved in the day-to-day running of a company, this is the one.

Reporting directly to the MD and FD, you’ll take full control of the finance function while also playing a key part in keeping the wider business running smoothly. You’ll own management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow, while partnering with commercial teams to analyse margins, review costs and challenge performance. At the same time, you’ll oversee office operations – suppliers, facilities, contracts and key admin processes, making sure everything works seamlessly. The role is structured, but no two days look the same. You’ll have exposure across every department, real responsibility from day one and the opportunity to see your impact directly in the results.

Skills Needed

* Strong experience as a Management Accountant, with a background in transactional finance, ideally within an SME.
* Technically confident across management accounts, balance sheets, cashflow and financial controls.
* Comfortable juggling finance and operational responsibilities in a fast-moving environment.
* Energetic, organised and commercially driven, someone who enjoys being visible and involved.
