Bookkeeper

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-driven individual to join a fast-growing technology business, working with major national organisations across the UK. This Bookkeeper position is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in transactional accounting who is looking to grow along with the company.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in supporting and strengthening the finance function, ensuring accurate financial records are maintained while helping to introduce structure and control as the business grows. The role offers broad exposure across the finance function, with involvement in monthly management accounts, cashflow tracking, VAT returns, and year-end preparation.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with a proactive approach, comfortable liaising with operational teams and senior stakeholders, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. As a Bookkeeper, you will take ownership of both sales and purchase ledgers, oversee credit control, complete bank reconciliations, and support month-end processes, while identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience in a Bookkeeping, Finance Assistant or Accounts role covering both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Experience using accounting software (Sage 50 desirable, but not essential).
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and take ownership of tasks while supporting process improvements.
