Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded manufacturing business based in the Black Country, who are looking to appoint a Newly Qualified Accountant into a technically strong and progressive finance role. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified ACCA/CIMA professional, with strong finalists also encouraged to apply. This opportunity is perfect for those who are keen to broaden their technical exposure while building the commercial and leadership skills required to progress toward a future Financial Controller position. The business offers a complex, fast-moving environment where both financial control and commercial insight are equally valued.

Working closely with senior finance and operational leadership, you’ll take ownership of the month-end close, producing detailed management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting, while maintaining robust balance sheet control through reconciliations and review processes. You’ll support statutory accounting requirements, assist with audit preparation, maintain fixed asset registers and oversee accruals, prepayments and variance analysis. Alongside core financial accounting, you’ll analyse production performance, margin and cost movements, support budgeting and forecasting cycles, and partner with operations and supply chain teams to interpret performance trends.

Skills Needed

• Newly qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant, with strong finalists also encouraged to apply.
  * Strong technical grounding across financial accounting, balance sheet management and full management accounts production.
  * Experience supporting audits, statutory reporting or complex reconciliations within a commercial environment.
  * be a confident communicator with the ability to work closely with non-finance stakeholders and translate financials.
