Credit Controller

An established and growing professional services firm is seeking a reliable and efficient Credit Controller to join their finance team as an addition to the existing team. As part of a supportive team of Credit Controllers, you will take ownership of managing a portfolio of client accounts while maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. You will work closely with colleagues and build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure outstanding debt is collected efficiently and queries are resolved promptly. The role involves regular client contact, allocating payments, monitoring credit limits, producing aged debt and performance reports, resolving invoice queries, and supporting month-end processes. The ability to work at pace while maintaining excellent attention to detail and professionalism is essential.

Ideally, you will have:

• The ideal candidate will have previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable, ideally within professional services or a similarly fast-paced environment, managing high volumes of accounts.
• You will be highly organised, accurate, and efficient, with strong communication skills to liaise confidently with clients and internal teams.
• Experience with accounting software, or the ability to quickly learn new systems, is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to resolve queries and escalate where necessary.
