Financial Accountant

Location: West Yorkshire (commutable from Huddersfield, Halifax, Brighouse, Wakefield)
Sector: Multi-site / Operational Business

We’re supporting a well-established West Yorkshire business with the appointment of a Financial Accountant. This role is ideally suited to a qualified auditor making their first move from practice, looking to gain hands-on industry experience within a supportive finance team.

The Role

• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts

• Preparing statutory accounts and supporting year-end processes

• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls

• Assisting with audit processes and liaising with external auditors

• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis

• Involvement in process improvements and systems development

About You

• ACA / ACCA qualified

• Background in audit

• Strong technical accounting foundation

• Keen to develop commercial and operational finance exposure

• Sector background is open – experience across services, retail, manufacturing or other operational environments will transfer well
