Semi-Senior Accountant

We’re working with a friendly, well-established accountancy practice in Sutton Coldfield who are looking to add a Semi-Senior Accountant to their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with owner-managed businesses and wants a varied, hands-on role within a genuinely supportive environment.

The Role
You’ll work as part of a close-knit team delivering outsourced finance support, management accounts, and financial planning services to a portfolio of small businesses across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping for a portfolio of small business clients

• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts

• VAT returns and reconciliations

• Assisting with year-end accounts preparation

• Supporting clients with cash flow forecasting and financial planning

• Liaising directly with clients and building long-term relationships

About You

• Ideally AAT qualified (or qualified by experience)

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice

• Strong bookkeeping and management accounts experience

• Confident using accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)

• Friendly, reliable, and comfortable working directly with clients
