An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Solihull. This is a full-time, office-based position, ideally suited to someone with a strong background in accounts payable and transactional finance who is looking to develop their career within a stable and professional environment.

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day accounts payable function, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time. The role offers exposure to high-volume processing, supplier management, and close involvement with month-end activities, with regular interaction across the wider business.

The successful candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and confident working with minimal supervision, managing their workload effectively to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will take ownership of the purchase ledger and contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the finance department.

Skills and experience required

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or similar transactional finance role
  • Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes including reconciliations and payment runs.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally at all levels, both internal and externally.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills, to ensure all tasks are hit in a timely manner.
