Project Accountant – System Testing

Mitchell Adam are partnering with an exciting, market-leading business to support their search for an Interim Project Accountant. This role will play a key part in the final stages of a bespoke finance system implementation with a strong focus on data analysis and report testing.

You will be fully embedded within a high-calibre finance team, analysing complex data sets to identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies following the recent system migration. Alongside the project work, you will also support the day-to-day finance function, including VAT and gross margin reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and validate data following a finance system implementation

• Test reports and investigate discrepancies

• Support VAT and gross margin reporting

• Provide hands-on support to the wider finance team during a critical period

Ideally, you will:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), qualified by experience candidates with relevant background will also be considered

• Proven experience working with complex data sets, ideally following a system migration

• A proactive self-starter, comfortable working autonomously in a new environment

• Experience within Water, Utilities or Telecoms is advantageous
