Accounts Payable

An established and growing business is currently searching for a reliable and efficient individual to join them as their new Accounts Payable Assistant. This role has become available due to the retirement of a long-standing team member, demonstrating the stability, longevity, and positive culture within the business. The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will support the end-to-end accounts payable process, managing a high volume of supplier invoices while ensuring records are accurate and up to date. Working as part of a close-knit finance team, you will build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring invoices are processed efficiently and queries are resolved promptly. The role includes processing invoices, preparing supplier payments, reconciling supplier statements, completing payment runs, and supporting month-end processes. The ability to work at pace while maintaining excellent attention to detail is essential.

Ideally, you will:

• Have previous experience in an accounts payable role, processing high volumes of invoices within a fast-paced environment.
• Be highly organised, accurate, and efficient, with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines as part of a team.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, with confidence liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries and maintain positive working relationships.
• Have experience using accounting software, or the ability to learn new systems quickly.
