Accounts Assistant

A well-established and growing organisation within the construction sector is creating a new role within its finance team. As the new Accounts Assistant, you will be organised, motivated, and detail-focused, with a proactive approach to supporting the business as it continues to grow.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive finance team where you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function. The role will be varied, covering accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll support, and general office administration. You will take ownership of your responsibilities while ensuring all financial records are accurate and well maintained.

You will work closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and accountants, helping to resolve queries efficiently while building strong working relationships. This role offers exposure to a wide range of finance processes within a fast-paced environment, with the opportunity to develop your skills and progress within the business.

Skills Required:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable, or similar finance role
• Competent user of Microsoft Excel and Word, with confidence using spreadsheets and beneficial to have professional experience using Xero.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills to be able to hit tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Confident communication skills when liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
